Generational change at Siempelkamp

Since July 1, Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt has been the CEO of the Siempelkamp Group's Business Unit Service and at the same time a new member of the holding company's Management Board. He succeeds Stefan Wissing, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Niggeschmidt (in the picture, r.) has been contributing his experience in the industry and after-sales service to the Siempelkamp Group for the past twelve years. After completing his doctorate in industrial engineering, he began his professional career in 2010 with SMS in Mönchengladbach. In 2013 he joined Siempelkamp as the head of the technical field service department. In 2018, he was promoted to Managing Director at Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH. He is also Managing Director of Siempelkamp’s Turkish subsidiary in Istanbul, whose establishment he played a key role in driving forward.

The Business Unit Service, of which Niggeschmidt has been a member of the Executive Board since 2023, develops and coordinates Siempelkamp Group’s global service activities. It includes, among other services, spare parts supply, technical field and remote services, as well as comprehensive modernizations and retrofits of Siempelkamp’s plant technology.

Wissing (in the picture, l.) looks back on a long career within the Siempelkamp Group. He joined the group in 1996 and has since held various responsible leadership positions within the Siempelkamp Group, both nationally and internationally. In the months up to the end of 2025, Wissing will accompany this transition phase as a member of the Management Board of the Siempelkamp Holding, the Business Unit Service and of the subsidiary Pallmann.
