High-tech ECO die casting to take away immediately

EUROGUSS

The closer you get to the Frech stand, the more familiar the sounds might sound to you. No, you haven't misheard, there will be a live demonstration of a casting machine in production at EUROGUSS 2024. This is a first and shows the importance of this trade fair for the industry. Frech has really gone the extra mile and packed a lot of high-tech into a very small space. If you are standing outside the safety fence, you will have to look very closely to recognise the details of this system, or you can ask one of the competent members of the stand crew. They will tell you the following:

We will show you the innovation package of the patented systems FGS (Frech Gating System), a mould concept of the Frech tooling team with ultra-short casting runs, combined with FDS (Frech Dosing System), the active melt valve as an unbeatable combination for hot chamber die casting.

Heated elements, integrated in the FGS mould, keep the melt liquid until the start of the ultra-short casting runs near the gates. Depending on the design, this reduces the usual circulation material by 40 %, in some cases up to 80 %. The FDS system ensures that the melt can be guided to this point with absolute precision from pouring process to pouring process. The FDS valve is controlled in automatic mode. The casting process takes place automatically with a shortened piston stroke so that the melt is always held in the correct position in the FGS mould with absolute precision by the FDS process. This saves an enormous amount of energy by reducing the amount of remelting material in the FGS mould and the shortened stroke of the FDS system.

"Green and clean" is Frech's motto. The latest energy-saving EcoMeltV3 furnace from our subsidiary Meltec is celebrating its debut in live mode so that the whole thing can be called that. After filling the mould, the parts and the casting runs fall separately one after the other through an ingenious and proven multi-stage mould ejection system on Spesima conveyor technology with integrated cooling, so that you can take the parts with you straight away. A beautiful, useful and practical reminder of the EUROGUSS 2024 trade fair.
