Need for further training in the manufacturing sector

The current representative figures of "The Global HR Trends" by Good-Habitz in cooperation with the research institute Markteffect confirm that there is still a lot of potential in digital training, especially in the DACH region.

With a share of 23.5 percent of GDP (2022), the manufacturing sector is one of the cornerstones of the German economy. However, one of the biggest challenges in the manufacturing sector is employee development in order to maintain corporate success. The shortage of skilled workers and global competition are the driving factors why companies, whether SMEs or corporations, should invest in workforce development now and in the future. The results of the aforementioned study show that for 59 percent of those surveyed, digital skills are of central importance to their professional lives, but that corresponding further training opportunities are often still lacking.
